That Barista Thing 2011

That Barista Thing is a celebration of Barista Culture proudly supported by Blenz Coffee. Held in the stunning Library Square Promenade on Robson St, find many activities for the whole family to participate in, including: Latte art Etching workshop; Craft tables; Free beverages; Fortune Telling Tea Leaf Reading; Live artists at work; Authentic Japanese and Chinese Tea Ceremony; and lots lots more.. The signature event on the main stage is The Vancouver International Latte Art Competition and Etching Competition, awarding the highest cash prize to the winning Barista than any other latte art competition worldwide.
This is a free event and it is open to the public, we invite everyone to come on Sunday Oct 2nd from 11-4 p.m and watch as a panel of experts from the Food/Beverage Industry judge Baristas from throughout the Lower Mainland, and as far as Japan. Come and cheer for your favourite Barista as they compete head-to-head, tournament style, for a fun, fast paced, and entertaining competition. Why not spend the day with us in honour of the Barista, one of the most important people in our lives – especially first thing in the morning  !!! On the day of the event Blenz Coffee will be giving out free Lattes, coffees and hot chocolate for kids. Join us this Sunday Oct 2nd for a great time at ‘That Barista Thing 2011’.
